Super-easy Blender pesto is close to the traditional recipe, yet gives you some leeway if you don't have just everything on hand. To make things easier for you, just pour these ingredients in the blender and hit frappé!
This is also a great recipe if you would love a delicious sauce that is easy on your budget. Just substitute walnuts for pine nuts.
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh chopped basil leaves
3 cloves of garlic, peeled
½ cup pine nuts. You may substitute walnuts.
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
Preparation:
In a blender on medium, combine your basil, garlic, pine-nuts and cheese. While the blender is running, slowly add your olive oil. Your food processor works great for this recipe as well.
This recipe makes 1 ½ cups. If you are making this recipe for a pound of pasta, double the recipe if you like a lot of sauce.
Enjoy!
